Fees & Funding
At Happy Learners we strive to provide equal access to high quality, affordable Occupational Therapy service for children and families
WHAT WE OFFER
Happy Learners OT works in collaboration with families, schools and other health services to provide holistic, individualised and family-centred OT services.
Happy Learners OT is a private practice where assessment and treatment sessions are conducted in the client’s home, school environments and/or our vibrant clinic space. No referral is required to access services from Happy Learners OT, unless using Medicare or HCWA funding. We have a range of services to choose from.
Assessments & Reports
If you think your child may benefit from an OT assessment, please contact us to enquire about availability and fees.
We offer clinic, home or school sessions dependent on your child and family’s needs. Please get in touch to discuss 45, 60 or 90 min session fees.
Mobile Sessions – We come to you!
Sometimes the best way we can support you and your child is in their everyday environments, whether that be at school, day care, home or a local park. Our travel fees for coming to any of these locations are based on the time travelling from our clinic in Shailer Park. Travel fees vary based on which funding body are registered with so please give us a call to discuss this further. Remember to ask us if we are seeing anyone else in the same to help reduce travel fees.
NDIS – National Disability Insurance Scheme
Happy Learners is currently an unregistered NDIS provider. We are able to support families who are Self or Plan managed.
Happy Learners staff are able to provide services to clients using their Medicare Plans which offer a part rebate on the cost of a standard session. The two main plans we work under include:
Chronic Disease Management Plan (Formerly EPC): Children may be eligible for 5 rebated sessions per calendar year for a chronic condition. A CDM plan is created by a GP and the Medicare item code for Occupational Therapy under this plan is 10958.
Medicare Helping Children with Autism: Children between the ages of 7 -13 who have an ASD diagnosis may be eligible for a one time plan of 20 rebated sessions. This plan needs to be created by a Paediatrician and the Medicare item code for Occupational Therapy under this plan is 82025.
The rebate given from each health fund will depend on your level of cover. Please contact your health care provider for more information.
